01 / [OVERVIEW]

Evolving the Brand Identity into a Functional Digital Platform

Our partnership with NRV Control Systems began with a complete rebranding initiative. As Panama’s leading provider of physical security, access control, and building automation, the company needed a visual identity that accurately represented its technical capabilities. While the new brand system established a strong foundation, their legacy website immediately emerged as a primary bottleneck.

The existing site was outdated, visually disconnected from the new branding, and structured like an unorganized document repository. Rather than building confidence among corporate buyers, it created unnecessary friction during early-stage research. We set out to bridge this gap by creating a streamlined B2B web platform that translates brand authority into straightforward commercial engagement.

02 / [AUDIT & RESEARCH]

Uncovering Usability Bottlenecks Through Stakeholder Audits

We grounded our design process in hard facts by conducting a complete UX audit alongside structured interviews with NRV’s executive leadership, sales engineers, and long-standing B2B clients. The diagnostic phase revealed critical usability breakdowns. The navigation was fragmented, forcing visitors through confusing paths just to locate basic product specification sheets.

Our review of GA4 analytics confirmed that incoming traffic was dropping off without converting. The site functioned as a passive brochure rather than an active sales channel. We restructured the entire information architecture to resolve navigation errors, establish intuitive user paths, and ensure every page encourages direct business inquiries.

03 / [INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE]

Restructuring Technical Catalogs Around User Mental Models

NRV’s catalog contains hundreds of specialized security products that were previously listed under raw factory model numbers. For procurement managers searching for specific capabilities, these codes created immediate confusion and led to high bounce rates. We needed a logical taxonomy that could transform this technical inventory into an accessible structure.

We ran card sorting sessions with target B2B buyers to map out how they naturally categorize equipment during sourcing. Based on their input, we replaced internal model codes with functional groups—such as clustering currency equipment under Contadoras. We backed this structure with clean category cards that explain product application at a glance.

04 / [PRODUCT PAGE UX]

Balancing Technical Spec Density with Constant Conversion Triggers

Security product pages require dense technical tables, compliance standards, and physical dimensions. On the legacy site, long specification lists pushed the inquiry option entirely off the screen. As buyers scrolled through mechanical details, they lost sight of the contact button, which severely reduced direct sales leads.

We resolved this by designing a desktop split-screen product page layout. The left pane remains pinned while scrolling, keeping the product title, a brief summary, three core business benefits, and a high-contrast inquiry CTA continuously visible. The right pane scrolls smoothly through technical data and hardware photography, ensuring buyers can review detailed specifications without losing access to the sales team.

05 / [DEVICE STRATEGY]

Aligning Desktop-First UX with B2B Procurement Workflows

While agencies routinely default to a mobile-first approach, we verified user intent before choosing our strategy. GA4 metrics and user interviews revealed a consistent pattern: enterprise buyers, system architects, and engineers evaluate access control hardware during business hours from desktop computers at their workstations.

Forcing complex spec grids into narrow mobile layouts created unnecessary friction for these professional users. We intentionally prioritized a Desktop-First methodology tailored for multi-monitor office environments. This spacious layout allowed us to organize complex parameter tables, side-by-side spec views, and clear visual hierarchies designed specifically for corporate evaluation processes.

06 / [SEO STRATEGY]

Disavowing Toxic Backlinks to Reclaim Local Search Authority

During our technical audit, we uncovered a severe SEO defect paralyzing the domain. The legacy site had accumulated thousands of spam backlinks from irrelevant international locations, including Singapore, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. This low-quality global traffic diluted NRV’s domain authority and severely damaged its search rankings within Panama.

We executed a comprehensive link disavow process to eliminate these toxic sources and rebuild search engine trust. Following the cleanup, we established a localized SEO framework focused on Panamanian business queries. We launched an engineering-focused B2B blog addressing regional security challenges and fully updated all site metadata to secure domain authority locally.

07 / [AI READINESS]

Structuring Product Infrastructure for AI-Driven Discovery

Standard SEO practices are no longer sufficient as corporate buyers and engineers increasingly use AI assistants and Large Language Models to research equipment specifications. NRV’s legacy site structure was unreadable to modern AI crawlers, locking them out of this rapidly growing search channel.

We future-proofed NRV’s digital architecture by deploying structured llms.txt files across the domain root. This technical implementation presents their complex product taxonomy in a clean format optimized for machine processing. As a result, AI discovery tools can accurately parse NRV’s catalog and recommend their access control solutions to corporate clients searching online.

08 / [RESULTS & IMPACT]

Capturing Local Market Share with Measurable Inquiry Growth

The overhaul of NRV Control Systems’ digital platform generated immediate commercial results. Unqualified global traffic dropped away, establishing Panama as the indisputable primary source of incoming site visits. The new platform directly connects with local decision-makers managing commercial and public infrastructure projects.

Combining a user-validated product taxonomy, a desktop-first layout with fixed contact triggers, and a targeted local SEO strategy transformed the website into a functional sales tool. By removing obstacles between technical evaluation and sales outreach, NRV achieved a substantial increase in qualified B2B quote requests across the region.
